Back from the 2nd Myfish project meeting!

06-IMG 1449

The second Myfish project meeting was hosted by DTU-Aqua in Charlottenlund Castle, Copenhagen, Denmark from 5-7 March 2013. The meeting was well attended and saw the very proactive participation of over 40 partners. The main challenge the project is facing is the development of multi-species fisheries management plans that also take into account the environmental, economic and social constraints that are embedded within the different European and national policies.

The main topics discussed during the meeting were:

  • The variants identified during the 1st meeting (Vigo, Spain 2012). These will also constitute the objectives to be included in the Decision Support Table
  • How the Decision Support Tables will work and what information is required to complete the
  • The role of stakeholder engagement in the project

A project newsletter with the first findings and the future challenges of Myfish will be soon be available.

In the meantime, for more information please see the press release
